I came to really enjoy the Gates in the snow and it seemed appropriate that a major snowstorm blew in yesterday, the last official day of the exhibit. The park was nearly empty — the Gates abandoned by the throngs of tourists that had descended upon them during the past two weeks. Having born witness to all the idiosyncrasies of living in New York, today the Gates' billow was muffled in the falling snow and some were wrapped around themselves as most of the Gates Keepers had gone home. But there were a few people that took the opportunity to walk through them once more and this shot struck me as the best of the lot today.
